You know, a lot of restaurants probably think that the most important people and interactions are those inside the dining room.  But I beg to differ.  In this age of DoorDash I submit that the people who pack the delivery and to-go orders are more important.  Why, you ask.  Simple.  If I am dining in-house and something goes awry the wait staff and kitchen can collaborate to fix the issue, and salvage a relationship.   But when the people who pack the orders for delivery are either not paying attention, are apathetic or just not competent you risk sending out orders that don't honor the customers' wishes.  And what's the fix for that?  Reaching out to DoorDash and hoping you can get a reorder, then waiting and extra 45 minutes or more to get it fixed?  Or maybe being told the restaurant is too busy to re-send?  So the risk here is that the single interaction the customer has with the restaurant is negative, and they blast you because you didn't care enough to pay attention to the details.  Which is what is going to happen right now:

I don't care if the "Golden Onion" is laden with grilled and "smashed" onions.  I ordered raw onions for a reason.  Because they add to the equation.  But since you missed that detail on the order (for which I paid an extra $1.00) the burger was just a mushy, flavorless lump.  For nearly $20.  Yuck. Strike one.

But the taste, while a touch bland would have been better if the Chile Pepper Aoli Sauce I ordered, and paid an extra $.50 for would have been delivered instead  of the container of dry pepper flakes, of which I have plenty.  Strike two.

The fries were not bad for delivery.  Not as cold and limp as many delivery fries.  Although I attribute that mainly to the efficiency and speed of the DoorDash driver.  

Bottom line:  Pay attention to what goes in the bag, and don't discount how important those things are.  It's the one and only chance you have of impressing the customer.

2nd time ordering the steak and cheese!! Steak was very tender both times! Fries are great also!
