When Don and Katy Kilwin began hand-crafting chocolates in the late 40's, they used only the finest ingredients available. Today, our chocolates are still hand-crafted, in our chocolate kitchen in Petoskey, mi, using the same recipes developed by Don & Katy Kilwin, and now made with our own Kilwins heritage chocolate. Kilwins heritage chocolate is made by us for us, and it is what we use to create our "Extraordinary everyday" truffles, sea-salt caramels, and hundreds of other Kilwins chocolate confections. No matter what chocolate confection we make, Kilwins heritage chocolate allows you to experience the Kilwins heritage in every bite, with flavors that are uniquely Kilwins! Our passion for chocolate is behind every taste of our Kilwins chocolate, coming from our nearly 75 years of culture and heritage. Our chocolate is unique; it is only available at Kilwins stores, and it offers very special and intentionally-crafted flavor profiles. We believe all of our chocolates are the very best in the marketplace. We make our Kilwins heritage milk chocolate with just a little more of a rich caramel flavor than other chocolate. Our Kilwins heritage dark chocolate features hints of spice, licorice, and a dark, fudgy flavor. Our one-of-a-kind Kilwins heritage white chocolate is real chocolate, with flavor notes of vanilla and rich caramel. From bean to bar, our single origin chocolates come from very specific regions of the world, the Dominican republic and Peru which produce beans with bold, unique flavors. We then expertly blend them in small batches to bring out their full, natural flavor, producing a line of single origin chocolates that are truly from around the world.

Kilwins "Extraordinary everyday" truffles have a creamy heritage chocolate-based center, blended with our own special mix of flavorings, enrobed in our heritage chocolate. We still make them the same way Don Kilwin made them - by hand, but we've re formulated the recipes to produce an outstanding flavor profile and taste experience. Available in nine exciting flavors, our truffles are rich, smooth, creamy, and delicious!

A combination of perfectly smooth buttery toffee, rich Kilwins milk chocolate, and choice almond pieces and you have one of the classic confections -almond toffee crunch. Our original recipe caramel was developed by Don Kilwin and is still cooked in traditional copper kettles. Smooth and creamy with just the right amount of "Chew" our caramels have been satisfying customers for generations.

Salt from the seas, flavored by the earth! Our sea-salt collection features an array of sweet & salty treats, including caramels, tuttles, caramel chews, bark, sea foam, and ice cream topping, enhanced with a variety of six different sea-salts from around the world: flor Blanca de Mexico - mild flavor and delicate crunch characterize this hand-harvested white sea salt from the pacific coast of manzanillo. Himalayan pink - a lovely rose-colored coarse ground salt is mined in the Himalayan mountains. Cyprus Mediterranean flake - the Cyprus Mediterranean flake features light grey flakes of salt naturally containing charcoal. Hawaii hiwa Kai - solar-evaporated black Hawaiian salt with activated charcoal gives the hiwa Kai a unique look and taste. Hawaiian alaea - Hawaiian salt gets its distinctive red color from a natural mineral called "Alaea" (volcanic baked red clay). Sel Gris de guerande - the slightly grey tone comes from high levels of minerals & nutrients of this stone ground salt from guerande, France.

Our creamy mackinac island fudge comes from our original recipes developed by don & Katy kilwin. Having purchased a marble table in 1948, don kilwin began hand-crafting fudge shortly thereafter. Over the years, we have added many flavors that are enjoyed in all of our stores and throughout the country. We think it was the best fudge ever made then, and the best you'll ever enjoy today! "The perfect" caramel apple starts with a fresh & crisp granny smith apple, hand-dipped in our made-in-store caramel. Our original recipe caramel is still cooked in a traditional copper kettle, a three-hour process that results in a smooth & creamy caramel, for that "Perfect" caramel apple, a customer favorite for 70 years! Our handcrafted caramel corn & brittle are made fresh for you in traditional copper kettles. Try our signature nutcracker sweets combining popped corn, almonds, pecans, and caramel for that perfect sweet and nutty taste sensation.
