Artisan Sourdough Country Loaf

This is the loaf that started it all, our original 3-day process organic Artisan Sourdough Bread that became the genus of Random Acts of Breadness. Artisan baker Randall Michael Tobin has randomly gifted over 800 loaves of breadness since December 2016! The usual response after the first bite: “This is the best bread I've ever had! Where can I buy this?” During our grand opening weekend (August 2021) we sold out our entire inventory of over 100 loaves (in 2 hours)! Customers were lined up outside waiting to get their Breadness! After our sourdough comes out of the oven, we cure it for 24 hours. Why do we do this? Sourdough right our of the oven has a crust that is rock hard with points that are so sharp you can get cut rather easily (not to mention you could break a tooth trying to eat it!). Additionally, the inside crumb is very wet. Curing the bread in a moisture-sealed bag softens the crust and stabilizes the crumb, resulting in a loaf that tastes amazing and will last about a week, sealed in the bag, on your counter (no refrigeration needed unless it's very warm inside your home). That said, some customers like their crust extra crispy. If that's more to your liking, you can request a "Hot Loaf" in the special instructions and we will do our best to fulfill that request. However, if we are out of hot loaves, we will give you a cured loaf. (If you provide your phone number, we can call you to make sure we can give you what you prefer.) Artisan Cinnamon-Raisin-Maple-Walnut Sourdough Loaf

One of my favorite treats has always been cinnamon raisin toast with butter. Once I had perfected our traditional Artisan Country Loaf, I wondered if I could make a raisin sourdough bread, with cinnamon, maple syrup and walnuts (all organic, of course). After a few attempts, I found the perfect balance of ingredients and the result was amazing. Not only is this bread great as a toasted slice with butter, it also makes the most amazing French Toast! I don't even add any syrup on top; just Raw Farm Cultured Butter (or Nutiva vegan butter if you prefer). After such a hearty and nutritious dish as this, you might not be hungry for several hours! We try to keep a few frozen loaves on hand in the event we run out of the fresh ones. Those loaves are baked, cured to perfection then frozen. Artisan Sourdough Crisps

Available in 5 varieties: <strong>Naked</strong>, <strong>Tuscan Herb</strong>, <strong>Smoked</strong>, <strong>Cinnamon Raisin Maple Pecan/Walnut</strong> and <strong>Chocolate</strong> (these last 2 are separate menu items). After enjoying some tasty flatbread wedges that came with the charcuterie board at Castaway Restaurant in Burbank, I was inspired to create a flatbread using our own organic, gluten-neutral artisan sourdough loaves. After much R&D in our home kitchen and "beta tasting" at the bakery, we now have bags of these artisan sourdough crisps for sale. It takes a lot of time and care to craft these crisps. First, we cure our Traditional Artisan Country Loaves for an extra 2 days to build flavor and strengthen the crumb so that we can slice these very thin (5mm). Then the slices are laid out on parchment-lined sheet pans and placed in our bread ovens for 12 minutes. When they're done crisping, the pans are placed in our proofing cabinet to cool and finish drying naturally. Then the slices are weighed and placed in specially-labelled BPA-free slider bags for easy access. The whole journey for the making of crisps takes about a week! To make the herb and smoked crisps, we take the Naked crisps, spread them out on unbleached parchment paper, then lightly mist them with Beyond the Olive's Tuscan Herb-Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil or their savory Smoked Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Then we place the freshly-misted crisps back in their BPA-free slider bag and they're ready to go!

Artisan Braided Organic Sourdough Challah-Style Bread (1 pound)

Our award-winning Organic Artisan Sourdough Bread is now available in a 1-pound Braided Challah-Style round loaf. There are 2 notable exceptions to this traditional bread: there’s no sugar or honey and no egg wash to give the bread a shiny, amber coating. How does this “Challah” taste without those ingredients? Amazing! And we’re not just saying that. Chef Randall recently went to an event and brought one of these loaves with him. He happened to run into several friends who are from Israel and tore off chunks of his challah for them to taste. They all said it was fantastic and wanted more! Mind you, this was just the bread; butter wasn’t available. When Chef later had some of this challah with butter, it was off the charts! It’s the same dough we bake our bread with but something happens when the dough is stretched and braided: it’s prevented from springing up during the bake as much as it would have if it were not constrained by the braid, resulting in a dense crumb that tastes sweeter than usual. Cinnamon Raisin Maple Walnut Sourdough Buns/Rolls (3 per bag)

By request, we’re proud to offer our original Cinnamon Raisin Maple Walnut Sourdough Bread in in a micro-loaf size that's perfect for Sweet Buns, Breakfast Rolls or English Muffins! Great with coffee or tea, or all by themselves. These may look small but each roll is a micro-loaf and a meal in itself! Enjoy these Sweet Buns/Rolls hours out of our oven, or days later for a more pronounced sourdough flavor. Eat them fresh or toasted; whole or sliced like English Muffins with your favorite toppings. Each micro-loaf is about 80 grams in weight. These Sweet Buns can also be frozen and pulled out to thaw for an hour or so, then warmed up in the oven (or toaster oven) wrapped in foil (for steaming) or without (for extra browning and crispy crust). Breadness Brûlée Muffin

I had an idea to fuse our Artisan Sourdough Bread with a luscious Creme Brûlée to make an absolutely dreamy dessert: Breadness Brûlée Muffin ~ bread pudding reimagined! I’ll share a secret with you… The cost for the ingredients alone for each Brûlée Muffin is about $5.50! That’s because we use our Organic Artisan Sourdough Bread, Raw Farm Heavy Cream, Raw Farm Butter, Vital Farms Organic Pastured Eggs, Besti non-GMO Monk Fruit/Allulose Brown Sugar Replacement; Organic Ceylon Cinnamon, and Organic Non-alcohol Vanilla Extract. Despite how luxurious these Breadness Brûlée Muffins taste, they’re actually sugar-free, and the sourdough bread ingredient (after curing, freezing, thawing and baking) has a glycemic index of only 33. Note: Due to the perishable ingredients, these muffins will be available after they come out of the oven for about 2 hours, after which they will be refrigerated, then frozen to keep them fresh. If purchased refrigerated, when ready to eat, they should be reheated at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. If using a toaster oven with an overhead heating element, place muffin in a Pyrex custard cup and place a small piece of foil loosely on top of the muffin for the first 8 minutes of reheating, then remove the foil for the last 2 minutes to get that crispy brûlée top crust!
